Jeff Wells

Jeff Wells

My 22-year career in the Maryland prison system ended with trauma, infection, and gangrene; my life was saved at the Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, MD. I then suffered a massive, debilitating stroke.

After a long convalescence, including many research studies for rehabilitation, I was asked to help with a study being conducted. I found patients could be heard and listened to. I am now the voice of those who are still suffering. I have been asked to join research oversight, and I continue to be engaged as a volunteer with several hospital systems, support groups, and research programs.
