Gabrielle Scott

Gabrielle Scott is a public administration professional and equity-driven leader with extensive experience in community engagement, small business development, and policy advocacy. She currently serves as the Durham County Organizer for the North Carolina Black Alliance and Advance Carolina, where she leads civic engagement and public education initiatives focused on voting rights, economic justice, and community empowerment.


Previously, Ms. Scott served as Program Manager and Interim Program Director at the North Carolina MBDA Business Center under the NC Department of Administration’s Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) Division. In this role, she directed statewide efforts to expand access to contracting, capital, and technical assistance for minority- and women-owned businesses.



She also serves as the Durham Section and NC Statewide Social Justice Chair for the National Council of Negro Women, where she oversees issue-based campaigns related to Black maternal health, education equity, and voter access.

Ms. Scott holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration and has earned a Certificate in Social Justice from the Medgar Evers School of Law and Social Justice through the Advocacy Academy. She is recognized for her commitment to public service, coalition-building, and creating systems that uplift historically marginalized communities.
