Tony Serge

Tony has been a senior global business leader and visionary in the practice of Business Service Excellence for over 45 years. He was also a Care Partner for over 12 years.

Through his expertise in service excellence and his care partner and patient lived experiences, he was personally inspired by the importance and the impact of having an exceptional Patient, Care Partner, and Family Experience. As a result, he has become a very passionate advocate for Patient Experience and Safety. 

For the past 13 years, he has been a Senior Global Patient and Family Advisor. In this role, he serves as the Co-Chair of the Global Patient & Family Advisory Board at The Beryl Institute, past Co-Chair of the Senior Leadership Patient & Family Advisory Board at Brigham & Women’s Hospital, and past Co-Chair of Dana-Farber’s Adult Patient & Family Advisory Council. He is also a member of the Institute of Healthcare Improvement (IHI) Lived Experience Advisory Panel. 

With his in-depth knowledge and experience of Patient & Family Advisory Boards, he is often called upon as an expert advisor for their best practices. He is a frequent speaker at Patient Experience Conferences and webinars, and serves on numerous patient/Family Experience and Safety projects.
