Thomas Tam
Pennsylvanian by adoption, Thomas Tam is a National Institutes of Health (NIH)-funded Healthcare innovator and a Machine Learning researcher. Thomas has been involved in improving patient safety since joining the Jewish Healthcare Foundation’s Patient Safety Fellowship during his final year of graduate studies at Carnegie Mellon University.
Most recently, Thomas has been awarded a fellowship, funded by the NIH and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, to improve medication safety for older adults. His healthcare research has been published in Digital Medicine, the Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association (JAMIA), and the Journal of Biomedical Informatics (JBI).
Passionate about fostering innovation ecosystems and advancing the growth of people’s lives and opportunities, Thomas is proud to serve on Carnegie Mellon’s Heinz College Alumni Association Board, Nucleate Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, and the Jewish Healthcare Foundation’s Feinstein Fellowship Advisory Committee.
