Sylvia Smith

Sylvia Smith is a dedicated healthcare professional and proud mother of two, originally from Tampa, Florida. With a strong passion for patient and family advocacy, she serves as the PR/Marketing and Foundation Coordinator at Beauregard Health System, where she leads community outreach initiatives and works to expand access to quality care for all.

Sylvia’s academic journey began in 2011 when she earned her Allied Healthcare certification as a Medical Office Specialist from Chattahoochee Technical College in Jasper, GA. In 2013, she furthered her commitment to helping others by completing Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (A.S.I.S.T.) at Ft. Johnson, LA. She later earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from Liberty University, where she graduated on the Dean’s List and excelled in coursework related to healthcare policy, economics, marketing, and management.

With more than a decade of experience in marketing and communications, Sylvia has combined her professional expertise with her passion for healthcare to become a trusted advocate and leader in her community. Her role at Beauregard Health System allows her to bridge the gap between patients, families, and providers—ensuring voices are heard and care is delivered with compassion.
