Stanley L. Pestotnik, MS, RPh

Stanley L. Pestotnik, MS, RPh is a patient safety researcher and clinical pharmacist with over 30 years of experience in developing health IT focused on patient safety analytics and the investigation of patient safety events.

He is currently the SVP of patient safety products at Health Catalyst.

He is a co-founder and former CEO of TheraDoc (currently a Premier company), prior to TheraDoc he was the Director, LDS Hospital / Intermountain Healthcare Drug Surveillance and Safety Program.

He received his pharmacy and medical informatics degrees from the University of Utah College of Pharmacy and School of Medicine, respectively.

After 3 decades of working on safety/quality efforts within the health care system, mentoring pharmacy and medical trainees, witnessing the suffering of patients and families affected by medical errors and injury – including my own family, I believe the path to true improvement and prevention will come from grassroots efforts such as Patients for Patient Safety.
