Dr. Shaik Mohiuddin, FACHE is a distinguished healthcare leader with a remarkable career spanning over 17 years, characterized by an unwavering commitment to quality and patient safety. His journey in the field of healthcare is a testament to his profound dedication to ensuring the well-being of patients. Dr. Shaik began his career as a dentist in India, where he provided care to countless patients. In 2006, he made a pivotal move to Dubai, UAE, to practice clinical dentistry. However, his dedication to patient safety soon led him to transition into the realm of healthcare quality and patient safety, setting the stage for a remarkable journey of professional growth and service. Between 2008 and 2019, Dr. Mohiuddin made significant contributions to healthcare quality at Mediclinic Middle East, assuming various roles and steadily rising to the positions of Medical Director and Regional Medical Director. Notably, he continued to practice while making remarkable strides in healthcare quality, a testament to his multitasking abilities.
His next chapter saw him at NMC Healthcare, where his relentless commitment to excellence earned him the role of Vice President for Quality, Patient Safety, and Experience across the group's units in the Middle East. In this influential role, he oversaw quality and safety in eleven hospitals, more than fifty medical centers, and various service lines, driving them towards specific quality and patient safety objectives. He recently joined Abu Dhabi Health Services (SEHA) Dhafra region’s Chief of Quality.
Dr. Mohiuddin's academic achievements are equally impressive, underscoring his commitment to lifelong learning. He holds a Bachelor's in Dental Surgery, a Membership, and Diploma in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow, UK, diplomas in quality management and practice management from esteemed institutions in Australia and Canada, and is currently pursuing his second master's degree in Quality and Patient Safety from the renowned Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, USA.
Furthermore, Dr. Mohiuddin holds prestigious fellowships and certifications, including Associate Fellowship from the Australasian College of Health Service Management (AFHSM), Fellowship from the American Academy of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), and the esteemed Certified Health Executive (CHE) credential from the Canadian College of Health Leaders in addition to patient safety and CPHQ certifications.
