Sally Kerr

Sally Kerr is the mother of Madison Joy Friedman (Maddy) who at 24 years old, died due to a negligent hospital discharge when her vitals were unstable and deteriorating on New Year’s Eve, 2019. The Doctor prescribed medications both in the hospital and after which interacted causing Maddy to stop breathing during the night, less than 18 hours after being discharged.  Maddy’s death was totally and tragically preventable.

Sally, a retired Executive from 2 Fortune 500 companies, has been both an arbitrator in her professional career and a volunteer mediator in the county where she resides for the past 7 years. She hopes to bring these skills to PFPS in ways that will bring stakeholders together in order to learn from each other in preventing future medical errors.
