Ruth Ann Dorrill
Ruth Ann Dorrill has served with the HHS Office of Inspector General (OIG) for 30 years and holds the position of Assistant Inspector General (AIG). She has directed national studies on hospital and nursing home quality and safety, including OIG’s work on adverse events incidence, which has been cited in hundreds of media and academic publications.
She has also overseen management reviews of HHS programs, such as the Federal Marketplace and the Indian Health Service. Ruth Ann testified before the U.S. House of Representatives Energy and Commerce Committee on nursing home quality and received the June Gibbs Brown lifetime achievement award from the Council of Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency in 2021. She is a Senior Fellow at the Partnership for Public Service and holds a Master of Public Affairs from the University of Texas at Dallas and a Bachelor of Science from Baylor University.
