Musaddik Waheed, MD, MBA, IHI, CHCQM-PHYADV

Dr Waheed currently practices as the medical director of hospital medicine at WellSpan Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon PA. Born and raised in Pakistan, Dr Waheed moved to the US in 2003, after completing his medical school from one of the prestigious medical schools of the country named as Rawalpindi Medical College. 


After completing his family medicine residency from West Virginia in 2008, Dr Waheed started his clinical career as a full-time hospitalist physician. In his 13 years of clinical practice Dr Waheed served as the medical director of hospital medicine for three national hospitalist staffing companies namely- Apogee Physicians, Sound Physicians and Envision Physician Services before moving up to serve as the regional medical director for Envision Inpatient Physician Services Gulf Coast Division in Houston in 2018.


Dr Waheed is a recipient of numerous quality and performance improvement awards including medical director of the year award for hospital medicine 2017 and patient experience award for hospital medicine 2016 for Envision Physician Services, to name a few. In his role as the lead hospitalist Dr Waheed served as chair of the quality improvement peer review committees, credentialing committees, utilization management committees, medical informatic committees and MECs for multiple hospital systems. Dr Waheed is board certified in family medicine and certified in American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians with emphasis on Physician Advisory. Dr Waheed also completed his Physician Executive MBA at Haslam College of Business with the University of Tennessee Knoxville, in December of 2021. He is currently enrolled in the IHI fellowship program for the year 2022 on patient safety, quality, and leadership. Dr Waheed is transitioning to join HCA Healthcare Houston at Pearland, as the CMO in September of 2022.


Dr Waheed is happily married with a wife and two boys aged 12 and 16. In his spare time he loves to hike, jog, travel and play squash.
