Jim Banta

I am a liver transplant patient who had chronic illness due to Hepatitis C and end-stage liver disease. Following my successful transplant 13 years ago, and after many years of illness and months in the hospital, I now give back in honor of my donor. I dedicate much of my time to ensuring the patient voice is included in healthcare and patient-centered outcomes research. My experience with hospital systems provided me with a unique lens on the needs of transplant patients and other patients who have been hospitalized.
