Janet McNichol

Janet McNichol brings over 20 years of rich experience in the human resources field, specializing in the not-for-profit sector. As the Chief Human Resources Officer for the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association in the Washington, D.C. area, she exemplifies a strong commitment to organizational excellence and employee engagement.

Her commitment to healthcare improvement is evidenced by her serving as President of the board of directors for the MidAtlantic Business Group on Health. Janet is also a member of the National Alliance of Healthcare Purchaser Coalitions and participates on an employer panel for The Leapfrog Group, an organization focused on healthcare quality and safety. She had the honor of being named a 2023 Leapfrog Fellow.

Janet’s educational background includes a BS in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina. Currently, she is broadening her knowledge and skills in conflict resolution through a master’s program at the Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution at George Mason University. Her professional credentials are underscored by certifications as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), and a Certified Association Executive (CAE).
