Our Commitment

We believe that good health is fundamental to the safety and stability of our society. We also believe that access to affordable, quality healthcare is a human right for all no matter one’s race, ethnicity, age, social economic status, disability, sexual orientation or gender identity.

We believe any conditions, policies, beliefs, and behaviors which prevent our nation from achieving true health equity are a threat to patient safety and public health itself.

The Covid-19 pandemic has illuminated the dire need for new attention to the issue of health equity, not only in the United States, but globally. Lack of access to quality care, the prevalence of social and racial inequity, and the social-economic determinants of health have created barriers to a healthy and productive life for many vulnerable populations. In the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, “Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.”

PFPS US is committed to supporting partners, policies, and protocols which ensure that both health equity and patient safety standards are incorporated across all healthcare, public health, and industry platforms for a safer and healthier system for all.
