Kathryn Biasotti, BSN, CPHRM, LNCC, MBA

Kathryn Biasotti has over three decades of nursing experience in healthcare operations and administration.  Currently, she owns and operates a consulting business, working with healthcare clients on a myriad of healthcare topics.

She has held leadership roles in risk management, patient safety, medical staff affairs, corporate compliance, employment practices, and quality improvement.  More recently, providing Interim Risk, Patient Safety, and Quality Leadership positions in two of America’s leading healthcare consortiums. She is a speaker at both regional and national levels. She volunteers for numerous healthcare organizations and serves on her local community health systems governing board.

Combining years of proactive work (including development and implementation of a Patient Safety Program in 2004), Patient Safety, Risk, and Quality.

Kathryn’s recent experiences as a family caregiver have emboldened her to present that experience to assist hospital leaders in viewing their interactions with patients and families from a different lens.  She wants to strengthen patients' and families' understanding of the complexities of healthcare processes. And to encourage advocacy for increased patient safety legislation at regional, national, and governmental levels.

Kathryn is passionate about moving forward patient and employee safety as a national key initiative. She was delighted to see the opinion piece “Who Killed Patient Safety,”’ triggering a much-needed “kick start” to bring Patient Safety back to the forefront of healthcare. With enthusiasm, she supports the efforts of Patients for Patient Safety US.
