A retired IT executive, Mr. Adams has non-profit experience having served as a member of 2 United Way boards of directors for a total of 12 years.  He became active in patient safety organizations after the sudden loss of his wife in June 2017.  He established her memorial fund at The Philadelphia Foundation with the aim of ensuring that other patients and families need not suffer the loss his family experienced. 


Specific efforts thus far include funding Phase 2 of the CRP methodology known as PACT being developed by the Collaborative for Accountability and Improvement (CAI) and sponsoring a scholarship for Healthcare Improvement and Patient Safety at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.  He is currently a member of CAI’s Patient & Family Advocacy committee as well as their Policy committee.
